In 2008, the 1 win Rams went into FedEx field to face the Washington Redskins. And it was clear from the start of the game that the Rams could surprise the Redskins and pull out a win. After a long fumble return for a touchdown by OJ Atogwe, the Rams were able to kick a field goal to win the game.
This all happened because the Redskins took the Rams for granted. They assumed the Rams were a bad team and they let the Rams take the upper hand in the game. Even with all that, the Rams didn’t score an offensive touchdown, did not dominate the game and still won.
Needless to say, the Redskins won’t let the Rams get away with that this year. Will the Redskins come out flat again thinking the Rams will be pushovers or will they come out fired up hoping for revenge against the team that upset them last year?
If history is an indication, the Redskins will be on their game on Sunday. It’s up to the Rams to take them out of it.
