Fans Cannot Forget 2008

Coach Spagnuolo wants the Rams to be judged on their 2009 team only and that sounds good when he hasn’t been in St. Louis for the past 3 seasons. As the Rams continue to make the same mistakes as the previous regime, they will be judged with the previous seasons.
Coddling Richie Incognito – check
Giving out high-priced free agent deals to players that don’t deserve them – check
Missing assignments on defense – check
A confusing game plan on offense that does nothing that the coaching staff has been saying all along – check
An offensive line that is supposed to be improved, but is still getting Marc Bulger killed on every pass play – check
A declaration to get Steven Jackson move involved in the offense, then throwing the ball more (and never to Jackson himself) – check
Coach, you ask us to judge the Rams on only 2009, but the reason it is so hard for us is that the 2009 problems are the same as the 2007-2008 problems. “The team played with heart out there” gives us nothing. Until we see the Rams not get their butts kicked on Sunday, you will be judged with the other failed Rams regimes.

Don’t know if you know but it is the first game with a new O and a new D scheeme. If you thought we were going to just go out there and click the first game then you are a hell of an optimist. Maybe we were watching a different game but I saw Bulger had lots of time to throw. Recivers just were not open. yea 3 sacks isnt good but I think it was more of a product of the rams becoming predictable because of the lead the hawks had. Yea we are still not good this year, but did you expect to be? It’s going in the right direction. Have faith.

I’m with you feldman, but for all the talk about “going in the right direction”, we still saw the same old crap on the field.
I have faith the Rams will turn it around, but I was hoping we would see something, anything on the field.
