Carriker Injured – How Serious?

UPDATE: Howard Balzer has this to say on Twitter: “Carriker injury may be bad.” Short and sweet.

The training camp and preseason from hell continues for Adam Carriker as he was injured in the preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs.

First, Carriker re-injured his ankle in the Rams scrimmage at Lindenwood University.

Carriker returned to practice two weeks ago, but was placed on the second team, having to earn his starting spot back from DT Gary Gibson.  He never overtook Gibson and then got injured in the preseason finale.

Van Ram of Turf Show Times speculates because Coach Spagnuolo did not give his required “it does not look serious” that the injury is in fact serious.

More information is forthcoming, but Carriker’s preseason from hell looks like it is continuing.
