Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One Before

UPDATE: Alex Barron’s MRI was negative and he will be back on the practice field pending the swelling in his knee.

Another Rams player is out of practice and is getting an MRI for “precautionary” reasons.  This time it is left tackle Alex Barron.

“There was a little bit more swelling in his knee,” Spagnuolo said. “He’s kind of been battling that. So we didn’t want to take chances. He’ll have an MRI, hopefully as a precaution.”

I hope that this does not turn into another Bulger situation or worse, but we can only wait until the results of the MRI get announced.  We have heard “hopefully as a precaution” and “it doesn’t look serious” enough so far in training camp to not believe a single word we hear.
