Rams Ministry of Truth in Full Effect

The Rams are in mid-season form when it comes to controlling information about injuries and fullback Mike Karney.  Witness this info from Around the Horns:

…the media is not allowed … under coach Steve Spagnuolo’s restrictive media policies. When a player is injured, reporters aren’t allowed to talk to that player until he returns to the practice field.

Ok, fine.  Those are the rules.  End of story.

During a goal-line installation period late in practice, Karney served as lead blocker for running back Steven Jackson and even took a handoff. … [He] moved without a noticeable limp. He has missed most of the week with a sprained ankle.

Good to hear that Karney was back at practice and he is getting back to 100% because he is a big part of our offense and a big part of protecting Steven Jackson.

When reporters asked to interview Karney after practice, the request was refused by the Rams. The response from a team spokesman was: “He didn’t practice.”

What the what?  War is peace indeed.  Welcome to the NFL where practicing is not practicing.  Watch out Jim Thomas, Big Brother is watching…
