Rams Camp Report – Day 3

The Rams Gab training camp correspondent, my brother Zachary Roman (thanks Zach!) was at Rams training camp again today for the afternoon practice and we’ve got his report and some photos from the practice.

During RB drills pairs of RBs would put their shoulders into a pad on a sled and push it. After SJ was went through it a couple times. Croom told him he could drive it all by himself, and sure enough SJ did proving how powerful he is.

As always, tons more after the jump!

Looks like Vobora was playing strongside LB today with the first team.

During 1 v 1s:

Donnie Avery broke Ron Bartell’s ankles on a nice double move.

Wade played really physical defense on Carter and broke up the pass.
Tye Hill had lots of trouble staying on his feet, he kept slipping trying to make his break.

During 11 v 11s
Clifton Ryan and Tye Hill on a blitz got a “sack” on Bulger on one play.
The defense was playing with a lot of passion, swarming the ball and lots of gang tackling. Running plays seem to generate very little because of the defenses inspired play.
Kyle Boller threw a pretty pass to Nate Jones in the corner of the end zone when they moved 11v11 closer to the goal line.
Tye Hill redeems himself for his earlier slip-ups by making a one on one tackle on a much bigger SJ on a cut back run.

7v7s:
Carter out ran Bartell down the sideline and recieved an on the money pass from Bulger.
OJ Atogwe delivered a solid hit on McMichael right after the catch but Randy was able to hold onto the ball.

During Punts

Stanley, Curry, and Avery practiced recieving punts.
