Camp Cards – Day 2

The Rams Gab training camp correspondent, my brother Zachary Roman (thanks Zach!) was at Rams training camp again today for the afternoon practice and we’ve got his report and some photos from the practice.

Players were once again in just shorts and shells.

James Laurinaitis was the 2nd team defense MLB, with Chris Draft playing MLB on the first team.

David Vobora chasing down a running back.

Plenty of more information and pictures after the jump!

Starting D as of today:
Bartell, Hill, Butler, Atogwe, Grant, Draft, Witherspoon, Little, Ryan, Carriker, Long

2nd team CBs: King, Wade

2nd team LBs: Laurinaitis, Culberson, Vobora

Goldberg is 1st team RT, Jason Smith working as 2nd team RT for now.

The second team Offensive Line with Jason Smith at RT.
Laurent Robinson and Donnie Avery were the 1st team WRs with Burton and Stanley working mostly on 2nd team.
Ronald Curry worked some with both the 2nd and 3rd team.
Kenneth Darby gets most of the reps behing Jackson.

During 7 v 7:

Brooks Foster made a very nice diving catch on a pass from Null.
Lots of passes are going to the TEs and RBs on short passes.

During 11 v 11:
Fells makes a great catch on a pass from Bulger that had to fit throw a tiny hole, with Witherspoon almost stepping in front and intercepting it.
Bulger has plenty of time to throw, so far.

Bulger throws as Kenneth Darby (possibly) looks on.

Victor Adeyanju had a great pursuit of Boller on a bootleg to his side. Most likely would have been a sack if QBs could get hit.

Play was tough, lots of hitting on running plays for players just being in shorts and shells.

After Practice:
I saw a few WRs like Avery, Burton, Carter, Stanley, and Curry working out with QBs Null, Berlin, and Boller.
Also saw Jason Smith working on foot work with a coach.
James Butler (possibly or Bartell) went and talked on the Radio after practice. 100 ESPN or 101 (not sure) has a tent at practice.
Donnie Avery signed autographs after practice, also high fived some fans.

Avery high-fiving fans.
