Smokescreen?

Turf Show Times is all over a rumor coming from Jim Thomas, Rams beat writer via Bernie Miklasz’s radio show in St. Louis.  Jim Thomas says that his sources coming out of St. Louis say that the Rams are looking towards selecting Eugene Monroe, OT – Virginia.

There are certainly arguments for Monroe.  He’s a good friend of Chris Long, the Rams draftee from 2008.  We know the Rams like Monroe.  Monore certainly has the highest floor of any of the offensive tackles and would be able to start at left tackle right away.

As we approach the last week before the draft, just remember to take everything you hear, read or see with a very small grain of salt.  Teams are putting out more falsehoods than truth at this point in the process.  The Rams may be putting the information out that they are picking Monroe to deter any teams behind them that might want a different player, such as Aaron Curry.

T-minus one week.

Whoever the Rams draft choice is…they will inevitably be a bust. I’m glad we got Spagnola as a coach, but evaluating talent is something the entire organization should be either ashamed of or they just don’t do it. Not only that, but WE DO NOTHING IN FREE AGENCY. Other teams making hella deals for major players while the rams fans watch our overpaid talent under perform and fall year after year in offense and defense. Good Luck Spag…you’ll need it. Maybe we should see if Eric Crouch wants to come back…lol.
