Posted in The Rams have release QB Trent Green and WR Drew Bennett as reported by Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Green’s release saves the Rams $1.3 million under the cap and Drew Bennett saves the Rams $50,000 – hey everything counts!
Three observations – Please Trent retire. Save your brain. For all of us.
Bennett’s contract was AWFUL and the worst signing by the Rams in 10 years. He was so bad that the Rams barely saved any money getting rid of him. Drew, you will not be missed.
Lastly, this increases the Rams interest in free agent and rookie WRs. Especially if Torry Holt is the next player out the door.
Bennett was such a disaster for the Rams it is good to see him leave if only so we don’t have to be reminded of this screw-up
