John Shaw will also take a reduced role in the front office, possibly as an advisor to Chip Rosenbloom, the owner. Billy Devaney, the Director of Pro Player personnel will more than likely take over as GM. Unless the Rams take a run at Scott Pioli, the two-time winner of executive of the year and New England Patriots Director of Pro personnel. It is unlikely that Pioli will budge without the perfect situation in which he has complete say over the whole team. The Rams are not that situation. The Browns and even the Lions are in better position to attract Pioli. Good riddance, Jay Zygmunt. Out with the old has begun. I can’t wait for the “in with the new” portion of the Rams reshuffling.
