The Rams are suffering with more off the field issues today than just their GM walking away, as coach Jim Haslett said today that Antonio Pittman was fined $25,000 after not showing up to practice on Saturday. Pittman, whose 23rd birthday was Friday night, also was inactive for Sunday’s 17-16 loss to the Niners.
Pittman has made five starts while Jackson was sidelined by a thigh injury, and has 283 yards with a 3.7-yard average. Jackson had 108 yards on 32 carries, his first 100-yard game since Game 6, despite spending time on the training table at the end of the first half with a sore hamstring.
Pittman dressed but did not play the previous week because the Rams wanted to see more of third-stringer Kenneth Darby. Darby had five carries for 15 yards and five receptions for 57 yards on Sunday.
Guard Jacob Bell (hamstring) was scheduled for an MRI exam Monday night, and Haslett said tight end Daniel Fells also had an MRI exam that revealed a bone bruise in his right knee.
