The Rams will play easily the most ignored game of the season by the general NFL public as the 2-11 Rams take on the 2-11 Seahawks in a battle for top 5 draft position. As we all know, the game is blacked out in the local St. Louis market, so only people who are glutton’s for punishment will be able to see the game…unless you live in the Pacific Northwest.
The Rams and Seahawks are familiar foes who have both fallen on hard times. The Seahawks are struggling with age, injury and the reality of Mike Holmgren’s retirement at the end of the year. Defensive coordinator and head coach in waiting Jim Mora Jr. does not even have his squad playing well.
So, the Rams can actually win this game and they desperately need to win or at least to play better so that they can stay out of the race for the “Worst DVOA Team EVER” occording to Football Outsiders. The Rams have a DVOA of -50.2, which means they are 50.2% WORSE than the average football team. If they put up a few -100 DVOA stinkers like they have this year, they have a chance to grab the dubious distinction. For us Rams fans, it has been obvious that the Rams have been 100% worse than an average NFL team on certain weeks. Let’s hope for our sake that the Rams play better.
