It’s Official: Bulger back at QB

The Trent Green Experiment is now officially over as Marc Bulger took over as the signal-caller on Tuesday in practice. Rumors were circling that now that Jim Haslett had been named interim head coach that Bulger would also be back in at QB. This is a good move as Green showed his rust in his week 4 start against the Buffalo Bills. Bulger will have two weeks to get back in the groove with his offense. Maybe with the extra week of practice he will step into his throws and stand more confidently against the rush.

An improved offensive line will go far in making Marc Bulger more comfortable in the pocket. A fully healthy Jacob Bell in the right guard position will also help.

One thing that has changed is that Bulger is talking to the press for the first time since he was demoted by ex-head coach Scott Linehan. Not only did Bulger speak, but he spoke positively about the Rams and their chances in the next 12 games.

Things have changed a little bit, I know the schedule is kind of the same, but their personalities are little bit different. I think it will be good for us to get three or four days away and come back and with that fresh start because certainly it didn’t start out the way we wanted. But guys haven’t quit and we honestly still think we do have a chance in the division, believe it or not.

The Rams are in the middle of the most difficult part of their schedule, but I like his optimism.
