Rams Fans Everywhere to Team: We’re Pissed
During, immediately after and as much as one day afterwards, Rams fans have flexed their internet muscles to complain about the Rams performance against the Eagles. Responses have ranged from anger, to disbelief and back to anger. Turfshowtimes.com, this very blog, the Stltoday.com Rams Talk forums (where I dare not tread) were all inundated with angry comments and postings.
It is easy to see that the main focus of the vitriol is aimed at one Mr. Scott Linehan. Every man, woman and child are calling for his job and the jobs of everyone else involved in the game planning of Sunday’s game. People are swearing off watching the Rams forever, talking about selling their tickets, or throwing their new TV out the window. Well, maybe the last one is not true, but a few more losses like Sunday and it may happen. We just need to get the image of Hank Baskett running out the field out of their heads.
I still think it would have been way better for the Rams to actually care about winning and put up a fight and lose valiantly ala the Kansas City Chiefs. But, maybe this is better? All the Rams fans are talking about the Rams, albeit they are all saying bad things, but all press is good press right? If the Rams had put up a fight, everyone would have said “eh” and gone back to their Suduko puzzle. But the loss inspired the whole Rams fan base to jump to their computer and fire off comments about who was crap and who needed to be fired. (insert Bulger, Linehan)
If the Rams do not turn their fortunes around quickly and show some fight, the patrons of the Dome will be quick to turn on the hometown team next week against the Giants and it will not be pretty…just about as pretty as the Rams Talk forums or the St. Louis Sports Talk radio after Week 1.

Have been a diehard Rams fan since the mid ’80’s, when I was a kid. Suffered throught the ’90’s, that being said, for the first time in my life, I refuse to watch or purchase anything Rams until Linehan is removed from the Rams organization. And he can take Haslett with him. 2007 was drawn up to injuries, 2008 we are healthy with the same result. We have a new offensive system in place, and yet we still run the same plays and style of Linehan, I am done, see you when we have new leadership.

I have been a Rams fan since the early 70’s. This is by far the worst team effort I have ever seen. To have only scored 29 points in 3 games is horrorable. I do not get to see many games since I live in Minnesota, but I could not watch this team even if I could. I do not think benching Bulger is the answer. I think you need to look at the o-line and the coaching. Seems like a lot of the age old problems have started back up again. Bad special teams coverage. I would much rather have Mike Martz back than put up with this sh….stuff!
