Look for Steven Jackson to be the workhorse back he’s always been Sunday when the Rams take on the Eagles in Philadelphia.  He sat out camp till he got a new deal, but now the deal is done, and Jackson will be in the fold for a team that wants to put the 07 season behind them as quick as possible.

“I had long, 12-hour days,” said Jackson on Thursday at Rams Park. “I practiced with the team, and before and after every practice, I did some extra conditioning. I went through extra plays with coaches. It was a very condensed training camp, I feel like I’m there. I’m not messing up on my assignments.”

Last season for the 3-13 Rams Jackson ran for 1002 yards in 12 games.  The team could use a dose of that and more this season, as they try to challenge the Hawks for the top spot in the NFC West.  As for Jackson, he is ready to go, and will be a big part of the game plan Sunday in Philly.
