Jackson Remains a No-Show; Avery w/ Crack in Pelvic Bone

Rams training camp continues in Mequon, Wisconsin today with a pair of practices on tap.  All-Pro running back Steven Jackson is still a no-show for the preseason activities.  The first-string ball carrier is holding out for a contract extension.  Rams general manager Jay Zigmunt has said the team will not resume negotiations with Jackson until he reports for workouts at Concordia University.  Rookie wide receiver Donnie Avery did not participate in drills yesterday with a small crack in his pelvic bone.  According to the “St. Louis Post-Dispatch,” Avery could miss anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.
