Long Wants a Deal Done Before Training Camp Starts

Looks as if the Rams have not only a quality player, but a quality person when it comes to first-round pick Chris Long.  The Post-Dispatch quoted Long about wanting to make sure a deal is in place to get him in camp on time.  “I was never into that holdout business,” Long said. “That’s real important to me, as a teammate more than anything.”  It would be a big boost to the team for morale and just to get the 08 season on the right foot to have him there when training camp starts on July 24th.  We’ll see if Long and the team can wrap this up and make it happen.  Look for it to be done in the next 2-3 weeks.
