Rams Sign Two

St. Louis Rams center Brett Romberg

Despite the fact that he was looking for a multi-year contract, center Brett Romberg agreed to a one-year contract with the St. Louis Rams, the team he has spent the last 2 seasons.  With Romberg’s signing, the Rams will have more competition at center as Romberg will have to compete with former guard Mark Setterstrom; you can also probably add Dustin Fry and Nick Leckey in the mix.

The Rams also on Thursday signed cornerback David Macklin to a one-year deal; Macklin was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 4th round of the 2000 NFL draft out of Penn State; in 7 seasons, including 3 with the Arizona Cardinals, Macklin started 75 games at CB.  He signed with the Washington Redskins last season, but played in only 6 games.
