The St.Louis Post Dispatch is reporting that former Rams quarterback Trent Green might come back to the team to be Marc Bulger’s backup. Green may be an option after the team cut Gus Frerotte, and then lost out when the Skins re-signed Todd Collins on Friday on the first day of free agency. The paper states that the Rams planned to bring in Green in for a visit next week. Jim Steiner, Green’s agent, confirmed Friday that he is indeed talking with the Rams. Green, 37, played for the Rams in 2000. He missed the 1999 season because of a knee injury, which paved the way for replacement Kurt Warner to drive the Rams to a Super Bowl victory.
