It appears Rams defensive end Leonard Little will be returning for the 2008 season. The “St. Louis Post-Dispatch” is reporting today that Little and the team have reached an agreement to restructure his contract which will enable the club to retain him. Little was due a roster bonus of over $7-million on Saturday which fueled speculation that he would be released.
The restructuring, however, will free up over $3.5-million in salary-cap monies to be used to re-sign players or sign free agents. The 33-year-old Little missed nine games last season with a toe injury that required surgery. The “Post-Dispatch” is also reporting that Little had his toe examined in St. Louis on Monday and his rehabilitation is ahead of schedule.
