Posted in Former Rams head coach Mike Martz is headed to San Francisco. Martz was announced yesterday as the 49ers’ new offensive coordinator, a job he had held for the Detroit Lions for the last two seasons. It was under Martz’s leadership as offensive coordinator and later head coach that the Rams’ offense became the “Greatest Show on Turf.” He left the Rams after a heart ailment shortened his 2005 season.
