Cardinals Top Rams in St.Louis 34-31

The sign says it all

Quarterback Kurt Warner stepped in for an injured Matt Leinert and led the Arizona Cardinals to a 34-31 win over the Rams at the Edward Jones Dome yesterday.  Warner passed for 190 yards and a touchdown and was intercepted once in helping send the Rams to their fifth straight loss to open the season.  This start rivals the worst in the Rams’ history.  They lost six straight to open the 1962 season and five in-a-row to open 1963 and 2002.  Gus Frerotte [[fur-ROT]] started at quarterback for the injured Marc Bulger.  He threw for three touchdowns, but was intercepted three times as well.  Arizona cornerback Rod Hood picked off two of Frerotte’s passes and returned one for a score as the Cardinals improved to 3-and-2 on the year.  Torry Holt, Drew Bennett and Randy McMichael each caught a touchdown pass for the Rams, who go on the road this Sunday to face the Ravens in Baltimore.
