McCollum protects Bulger

The Rams return to practice this morning after suffering a 30-13 pre-season loss to the Chargers on Saturday night at the Edward Jones Dome.  The first-team offense failed to produce a point, and the special teams allowed an 81-yard punt return for a touchdown.  The Rams’ next pre-season game is set for Friday night at Oakland.  The starters are expected to play the entire first half.

The competition for the starting center position on the offensive line continues.  Head coach Scott Linehan said yesterday he has yet to make a decision between Andy McCollum and Brett Romberg.  McCollum took the field with the first-team offense in Saturday’s pre-season game against the Chargers.  Romberg is expected to start on Friday at Oakland.
