The Rams returned to the practice field on Sunday after Friday night’s 13-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings in the preseason opener. The game’s highlights focused largely on the rookies with several players impressing the coaches. The team’s top draft pick this season, Adam Carriker, made his presence felt in the middle of the defensive line, while Brian Leonard rushed for the lone offensive touchdown. Offensive coordinator Greg Olson says he is impressed by the running back out of Rutgers. The Rams host the San Diego Chargers on Saturday night in the second of their four preseason games.
