Rams Cut 11 Players
Cutdown day has come for 11 Rams, and the players released today include: Josh Lay, defensive tackle Tim Sandidge, linebacker Jamal Brooks, tight end Mark Anelli, receivers Shaine Smith and Fred Gibson, tackles Drew Strojny and Ken Shackleford, kicker Kevin Lovell, safety Andre Kirkland and running back J.D. Washington.

Romberg Named Rams’ Starting Center
Brett Romberg will begin the regular season as the Rams’ starting center. Romberg beat out veteran Andy McCollum for the job. The Rams host the Chiefs on Thursday night at 7:00 in the annual Governor’s Cup game. The preseason contest has sold out and will be televised in St. Louis.
