Bulger Closer to Extension According to Sources

The Rams and quarterback Marc Bulger are talking contract extension, and reports say that the deal to make sure he stays in St.Louis should be done before the teams training camp starts in July.  ESPN’s NFL Live reported Wednesday that Bulger’s agent – Tom Condon, and the Rams met last week, and that progress was made towards a new deal for Bulger, who is coming off a season in which he threw for 4,301 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Bulger is one of the more underrated QB’s in the league, and his numbers show that.  He averages 271.8 yards per start, is 19-7 in career games decided by 7 points or less, and has been to two Pro Bowls over the last four seasons.  Bulger is currently set to enter the last year of a four-year deal that is worth just over $19 million.
